One hot summer by Anita Waller

  One hot summer is a gripping and page turner ,psychological  book. Psychological books are my favourite and One hot summer did not let me down loved it and I even cried at the end. The beginning of the book was brilliant which helped me to be hooked the story line. I really liked Anita Wallet writing styler and will definitely read more . The story starts of with two teenages in a house summer shed that sets on fire. Laura and Will are sent to look into this tragic fire and then there becomes more fires and murder they have to investigate. It definitely kept me guessing me I got it right who it was. Thank you rararesource and Anita Waller for letting be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Anyone that likes Psychological thriller will love this 5 stars. Blanket of blood by Eileen Wharton

 Blanket of Blood is thriller series and it did make me smile in places. Gary Blood is a detective Inspective character where there is quite few missing children who are pregnant it is bit gruesome at times with the descriptions of bodies . Gary blood has lot going on trying to solve this murder his ex wife being pain, being in love with his sister in law and also coming to terms with his daughter wanting to be a boy. Gary Blood is unique character and you can’t help but like him. There is a lot of action all through the book and Eileen Wharton writing is very easy to get in to and the ending has a twist that shocked me .  Author Bio  Eileen Wharton is an Oscar winning actress, Olympic gymnast, and Influencer. She also tells lies for a living. Her first novel was published in 2011 to worldwide critical acclaim. And she’s won awards for exaggeration. After the lights go out by John Veercher

 After the lights go out I first found it difficult to get into the first few pages  and was abit unsure because i thought it was all about fighting but I was so wrong and glad I read this book. I felt so sorry for Xavier and this book got to me emotionally. Poor Xavier on rollcoster of unhappiness, emotional, pain and sorrow. I really liked John Vercher writing , after the lights go out is beautiful written and you can really feel the pain and is at really good pace you can keep up with. You can really connect with the characters and Xavier was really easy to like and I just wanted give him hug and wished for him to be happy. I never expected the ending to end like that I felt very emotional. Xavier has one last chance to come back as a fighter but he also struggling with his brain which he slowly is getting dementia but it’s now affecting his life, his dad has Alzheimer’s but he is now to turn nasty and not being nice to Xavier. This book is brilliant and will definitely reading more

Coco Rules by Katherine Ormerod & illustrated by Carolina Melis

 Thank you  @OMaraBooks @lovebookstours for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. The cover is beautiful and the illustrations are amazing, colourful and vibrant . I found Coco rules really fascinating and interesting to read. This is a s non fiction book. I like the inspirational quotes that are nearly on every page. I like how it informs you to find your identity when shopping and wearing new clothes and how to find your inner beauty. I think anyone interested in fashion orCovo rules will like this book. Blurb  Coco Rules takes 30 quotes from the inimitable Coco Chanel and translates them into modern, practical style rules to live by. Quest for a life by Brendan James

 Thank you @Rararesources and @Brendan James for letting me part of this tour and reviewing this book.  I really like the front cover is colourful and the pictures are very interesting which make you want to read the book to find out what the front cover all about. Quest for a life defiantly tells you what the brothel all about.  Quest of life is written in diary form and Gerard tells you about how  his life has changed in year since leaving his day to day job as a teacher and packing up and living in Amsterdam and meeting his friend Frank and working in sex shop. Quest for a life made me laugh in places and it was really interesting to read about Gerald ups and downs.  Enjoyable read and I read it in a day . It was easy to get into and feel like you where there with Gerald. 5 stars.

The Cather by Kerry Birds

 I was recommended this book for book club at work. I am so glad I read it was a brilliant read start to finish. It was gripping there was a few twists in there I did not see coming. I wanted to read it dead quickly so I could get to the end and see what happens to them all.  I really like Kerry Birds writing style and will definitely be reading more of her books. Kerry is local author from Derbyshire. The story is told my three characters Alister who is married to Celia who is not what she seems and i really hated her. You hear from Celia perspective to and Elena who just moved to the road and has no clue what she’s getting her self into. Their is domestic abuse and rape in the story. I really hope there is second book to this . It put me on the edge of my chair and read it in a day. 5 stars snd available on Amazon

Spooky Ambiguous by number of Authors

  Spooky Ambiguous is short stories and poems of Gothic fairy tales about vampires, ghosts, zombies and werewolves. If you love spooky and gothic you will love this book. The poems snd short stories are by different authors.  My favourite was Blood moon , mirror mirror, who haunting who and a few more. I loved how there was gothic pictures through the book as well. Each story was easy to get into . This would definitely be great read for October.  I love the title and the front cover . I hope all the authors do another book together of there selection of gothic stories it really works.  Thank you crumps barn studio for letting me read this book . 5 stars great book to read. Hidden in the mists by Christina Courteney

 Hidden in the mists front cover makes me feel calm when I look at and I love the colours and they way the front cover is presented. This is the first time ever I have read a book by Christina Courtenay. The story is set in dual timelines and I found that I didn’t get confused by this and I really  like her style of writing and the dual lines are set in Scotland present and 19th century Scotland. The descriptions of the scenarios where amazing and I could really visualise them. The characters where very likeable. Hidden in the mist is historical Romance and this is part of Viking series but you can read this without reading the other books. Skye is running farm in Scotland on her own due to her marriage breaking up and is struggling to do this by her self until someone walks into her life who may be able to help her.  Here is the author bio : Christina Courtenay writes historical romance, time slip and time travel stories, and lives in  Herefordshire (near the Welsh border) in the UK.

The Younglings by Helena M Graggs

I love the front cover it is bright and it has witches and werewolves which is my favourite and I was definitely drawn to the book because of the front cover and then reading the blurb made me want to read the Younglings even more.  I have not read the book of the Younglings but I definitely will. I got skittle confused with all the characters and there powers but as I went through the book I got hang of who is who and there powers. My favourite characters are Eloise the ghost,Millie the witch , Eva the half angel. Helena M Craggs writing style was easy to get into and enjoyable to read and you really feel and ho on rollcoster with the characters through the book. The little theatre on Hallpenny lane by Clodagh Murphy

Thank you @rararesources and @clodagh Murphy for letting me part of this tour and reviewing the little theatre on hallpenny lane. I absolutely loved this book it’s lovely heartwarming story about sisters, love and  your aspirations . I definitely would love to read more of Clodagh Murphy. The characters were easy to like and the story was easy to get into from the start to finish. There was couple of twists I would not of quessed and I love the ending. This is romantic comedy and set in Dublin. The story is about three sisters Aoife, Mimi and Sive. They have just lost there great aunt  and she left them inheritance but unexpected quest  is also in the will. They now owe the little theatre on hallpenny lane but it’s not going as smoothly as the girls wanted it to be.  I definitely recommend this book and I give it 5 stars.

Unfortunate Stars by Susan Lanigan

Unfortunate Stars I listen to on audio book and it is Hour and 16 mins long. The story is set in 1938 in Czechoslovak. This story really gripped me and me feel sad because they had hide who they are and love. Unfortunate Stars is about forbidden love in the war time. I really liked Greg Palmore narration you could really feel the emotions in his voice and his voice and the words hooked me to the book. You can tell Susan Lanigan  has done a lot of research it comes across in her writing. Killing me softly by Guy Hale

 Thank you  @HaleWrites @lovebookstours for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. I was drawn to the front cover straight the way. I love how the guitar symbols a skeleton. I new a definitely wanted to read it after reading the blurb. Jimmy works as a singer in Nevada but is a very washed up singer that likes to drink a lot to. Jimmy wakes up to a total different life which is life changing after accidentally killing his girlfriend called Wendy. Jimmy starts to see Wendy and then he does things that makes him a better song writer but he can’t turn back now because if he does he will not be able to produce his music. I absolutely loved Killing me softly and Guy Hale writing. I really liked Sammy, Wendy , Dave and Jimmy. The book made me cry and laugh in places. It’s totally different book to what I normally read but I can’t wait to read the second book. 5 stars loved it that much read it in a day.

Erebus by Debi Chestnut

Erebus is really good and kept me hooked to the end . The story is about Izabel and she has psychic powers  and lives in a peaceful town until something happens where the sheriff comes and wants them to help them found the wolf (hellhound) There was a few twits in the book I did not see coming. I like how there becomes a love story between the sheriff and Izabel as they are dealing with the hellhound. I liked Debi Chestnut writing style will definitely read more of her books 5 stars

Tilly’s Sandcastles by Jessica Parkin

  I really like the illustrations they are colourful and work reall well with the writing. Tillys sandcastle has few lines of writing on each page and young children will love this book. It’s beautifully written and lovely story about making sandcastle and what happens to them when they get swept away. 5 stars. The Secret by Kevin Lynch

I just want to say Wow The secret kept me hooked to the very end and on tender hooks. I love it when I found book  that keeps me gripped and asking questions as I read. I do love good psychology book. I really liked Kevin Lynch writing style I just could not put the book down. I read it in a day and I thought I new who the stalker was and was blown away that I got it wrong. I didn’t not see it coming the end. The story is about Nicole who is a therapist and had a client who stalked her and left her with trauma. The chapters are taken in turns between Nicole and her husband who is now her ex and runs a shop and you hear from both sides of the story.  The characters where easy to follow and to get know. 5 stars very engaging.

Stress Free by Manoj Krishna

 Stress free is very interesting read especially if you struggle with stress yourself. Stress free explain what happens to your body when you get stressed from certain situations or sometimes just life.  This book talks about the way we think and feel about stress and what we can do to help our selfs to not get stressed so much. I feel stress Free is giving you understanding  of stress and what you can do in yourself to put steps in your life to prevent it from happening. By reading stress free is giving you different ways to overcome stress in postive ways thinking about they way you think about your self, others or work but it will take time to condition your self to do this  more positively instead of being negative and work your self up which will lead you to feeling stressed. Stress free is definitely interesting and informative and hopefully I can use these strategies to help me not become  stressed. Somewhere beyond the sea by A K James

This is the first book I have read from Amanda James and I will definitely read more of her books. Somewhere beyond the sea kept me engaged and was real page turner and kept me guessing. This is suspense thriller and is about love, loss , lies, betrayal and hurt. The characters where easy to warm to and very likeable. The story is about Karen, her past and future with her husband and children but then her past suddenly comes to haunt  her and messes with her present life. 5 stars this is lovely read and easy to get straight into from the set go.

Meet me at the museum by Anne Youngson

Meet me at the museum is lovely book about second chances, love and self discovery. The story are written in letter form and the two main characters are Anders and Tina. The letters are very formal at the beginning about the Tollund man  in the museum n Denmark. As they get to know each other they become friends and are first name basic in there letters to each other. They both seek comfort from each other and help each other in there life. I feel I preferred reading Anders letters better than Tina and I was really interested in his life and his children. I read this in a day and really enjoyed Anne Youngson writing style and will definitely read more of her books. 5 stars.

The post Office shop by K.T Dady

 This is the first book I have read from K.T.Dady and it’s lovely heartwarming easy read. The front cover is really pretty. The post office is set in Isla of white and there is two narratives Rory and Tilly. Tilly and her family help ex prisoners when they come out of prison with a job and help them until they get on there feet. Rory steps into Tilly shop and I would say it love at first sight but there is a few things that happen which does not make there relationship straight forward. This is book 5 in the series but you don’t need to read the others to know what’s going on . Social media for a new age by Katie Brocklehurst

Social media for a new age is really good and educational about not always using social media all the time and to do different things like going outside , hobbies and etc. I really want my daughter to read this because she always in her phone and hopefully this book will let her be kind to heart, mind and soul. This book is like coaching guide to help young people change there mind about social media.  I really like the quotes they are very powerful. 5 stars definitely recommend this to children and young teens .
