Heather Fitt's writing is amazing and grabbed my attention from the first sentence to the point I could not put it down. It's an absolutely amazing read and the twist were fantastic and kept me guessing till the end. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through The Boat trip. There is great suspense running through the book and I loved the story being set on a boat it was great and you can tell Heather Fitt has done her research about sailing. It give me knowledge of things I didn't know about sailing on a boat. Fantastic read with a great plot. 5 stars. This is a fantasy and Magic genre for young adults. The book is 75 pages long. I liked Tracy, and I love the fact she went to make toast and got sucked into the toaster to a magical world. I love this to happen to me and think children would too. The story is a great adventure, and I liked Sam who is a bird who is guiding Tracy through this world. I did feel for Tracy because she is going through a lot missing her dad and then there is a pandemic happening too. I think Young adults will relate to Tracy and enjoy her adventures. The story is written well and will keep young adults entertained. 4 stars. No good lie has a great front cover with the rose and petals falling off, I like the colours as well with the grey/black background. This is a psychological thriller and the chapters are written through Freya the main character who finds a woman's body on the beach that takes her back to the past and Edward's perspective who is stalking Freya. It was nice to get into the minds of both characters. The story is written well and is intense but enjoyable to read. I was hooked on Claire Stibbe's style of writing straight away and was drawn into the plot from the get-go. The story is fast-paced which I like and is a real page turner. I was glued straight the way. This book was very unpredictable which I loved, I like a good psychological thriller that keeps you guessing. The story is about Sandra who gets a phone call early hours in the morning and her mum then disappears. The Stepson is at a great pace and the twists were fantastic. A Court at Constantinople is an interesting read this is not a gener normally read but I did enjoy reading it and the historical side of the book and you can tell Anthony Earth has done his research. The characters were good and enjoyed seeing them develop throughout the book. A fascinating read and is set in 1859. The story is written well with a good plot. Searching for Sandra is book 3 in the series and is written in the past (1968) and present-day ( 2022). This is a short Novella and is about the residents in the hummingbird house. This is the second book I have read and it was nice to be reading about Betty again. Searching for Sandra is an enjoyable read. The story is excellently written and has wonderful characters. This is book 1 in the series, and I found it to be lighthearted and easygoing. I liked the character Lucy who has a medical diagnosis that came unexpectedly and then goes on holiday to rest in the countryside. This is a beautiful read and loved following Lucy and the animals on the farm story. This is the first book I have read by Laura Briggs and I Found it entertaining and enjoyed her style of writing. I do like the front cover of Toby and the Sliver Blood Witches is does look magical and catches your eye. This is a children's book for children starting at 9 years old to above. The story about Tony was entertaining and enjoyed going on adventures with him. Toby is a great character, and I felt for him a lot due to his mum being ill but then founds his self-meeting witches that change his world and take him on a magical adventure. It is so pretty and makes me want to be the lady in the picture and it's very catchy to the eye. This is a romantic comedy. I absolutely adored reading about Sophie and thought she is a great character and I did feel for her times when she found out about George cheating on her. This is an easy to read and that you can get into straight the way. I love where the story is set on the coast, made me want to be there. Penitent is a great read that I found easy to get into from page 1. The story gripped me from the get-go. The story is set in Edinburgh and is about Hector who is a lawyer who has been asked to deal with a highly sensitive case that causes Hector some difficulties and challenges to his career. I did enjoy following Hector's story and did feel for him at times. I was on the edge of my seat while reading Penitent just a fantastic read. I like the front cover of What Would Jane Austen Do it has a lovely green colour with two people that catches your attention. This is Humours Gener and a fun read that kept me entertained to the end. I liked the character Maddy and felt for her when she lost her job as agony aunt but became very lucky and inherited a lovely country house and then meets Luke who becomes her lodger who is also a writer and I did like him a lot. What Would Jane Austen Do is a feel-good read and heart-warming story that has some Jane Austins quotes that went really with the book. It all started with you and does not let you down it is a fantastic read that thoroughly enjoyed. I did go through many emotions while reading It all started with you and I loved following Frankie's story of wanting to run her own Flower business. I found the writer's Guide to Obscurity to be an interesting read and I like the illustrations running through the book by Fiona Wilson. The book and illustrations are very insightful talking about the ancient norman going through to the present day. A Good read and great humour running through the book. 4 stars. I like the title of the book and the front cover of Aegean Sun it is very pretty. Aegean Sun is a series but you can read it as a stand-alone as I did. The story is set in Greece and while I was reading this book it made me very jealous and I wished I was there in the town square enjoying all the fantastic events that were happening during the summer. The story is about Wendy, Evangeline and Leandra that work in the town square. I enjoyed seeing their characters develop through the book and my favourite Character was Wendy, I felt like I could relate to her more than the other two characters. The story is written beautifully, and you can imagine everything Stephanie Woods writes in your head. I was very lucky to meet Anne Goodwin at the Derby book festival at the beginning of May. Thank you for letting me read Matilda Windsor is Coming and for reviewing it. This is the first book I have read from Anne Goodwin and I did enjoy reading it immensely. The story is about Matilda, Matty, Janice and Harry. Harry was my favourite character, I wanted him to get his happy ending with Irene and hoped he would find out what happened to his sister Matilda. I could not put it down because I needed to know what happened to them all, especially Harry. I enjoyed following all the characters they were all interesting in their own way. I felt like I was an emotional rollercoaster with them all. Matilda Windsor is Coming is a moving story that is beautifully written and the topics that are in the book are about love and loss. The Other Couple is a psychological read which everyone knows is my favourite genre and this book did not let me down, it was fantastic. The story gripping and I felt like I could not put the book down because I needed to know if Kirsten and Nick get discovered. I felt for Amy who is married to Greg who has disappeared. The Detective is a Crime thriller and has a great front cover that grabs your attention straight away. This is book 3 in the series, but you can read The Detective as a stand-alone book which is what I did. The story is written in first person and is about Seren whose brother Andrew loves dungeons and dragons signs Seren up for a dating agency where they live in Yorkshire and things start to happen for her and she has to face her fears. I love the recipes that come up in the book and they made me hungry. I will be trying some of the recipes out. This is a heartwarming story that tugs at your emotional strings. It is nice when you come across something different from what I would normally read and I did enjoy reading Expectations a lot. I like the descriptions in the book and could visualise the scenes in my head. I like the characters Detective Ace Shades and Detective Earrings. The final party is written in the past and present and is in first person from different character's perspectives which was good to hear from the other characters' points of view on what's happening on the holiday and their secrets. The Final Party is psychological which is my favourite genre, and it is a dark and twisty read which engrossed me from page 1. The story was easy to get into and is a page-turner for definite. There is great suspense running through the book. The Final Party is at fast-paced which I enjoyed. The story is about six friends who go away together and secrets get revealed. The Final Party is an excellent read, which leaves you on the edge of your seat and hard to put down because you want to know what happens to them all. 5 stars. Out to buy now.
