Tea leaves and Book leaves

  I have never read anything from Catarina Ward. All I can say is wow. This story had lots of twists that I did not see coming. This story kept me on my toes and I was constantly trying to work out what was happening and when I thought I figured out another twist came which I did not expect. There is at least 4 different narratives in the story. They where all easy to get attached to. This is a very dark  gothic story and it’s not all what you see you need to go more deeper.  Thank you Netgalley for letting me read this book . I give it 5 stars I definitely recommend this book.     Show more Review ** spoiler alert **  I really enjoyed the girl of ink and stars and I read it in a day. I kept hearing good things about so I finally got it. I love the front cover . I think the yellow and black goes well and I love the animals on it . In side the book on each page there are little drawings which is lovely. The chapters are quite short and every so often there is map drawn in. The story is about Isabelle who lives with her dad who is a cartographer and one of her friends disappears and her other friend goes to look for her but takes her dad and mum maps with her and goes help the governor search for his daughter . This is adventure book and this book is for 11+ and over. The story is beautifully written and the description is great because you can see the pictures in your head. The character’s in the story you warm to them straight away and you are rooting for them to be ok. I definitely recommend this book  5 stars

  ** spoiler alert **  The sunflower and the sparrow is based in New Zealand and is about four people who are sorted connected with each other. Frank and Eleanor are both doctors than there Quince and Carol. The story is around these four characters. Carol has issues with husband who not nice to her who than falls ill. Eleanor is a doctor and has son and her. Frank is a doctor and he thinks he getting ill so he starts looking at life differently. Quince hunks he’s ill but he’s fine and the doctor tells him to get a life. I connected with Carol and Frank more than the other two and I found the stories more interesting. I found it hard to get into the other characters story. When I got to the end I was a little bit disappointed because I wanted to know what happened with Carol.   The Bees is a lovely books and the photos of the bees are amazing. The photos are really colourful and there is great close up shots of the bees. This book talks about different bees , the hives , how they attach there selfs to the flowers and get pollen, you see photos of the bees eggs. There is lots of photos and there are small amounts of writing that goes with the pictures. The book also talks about the bees anatomy. If you like bees you will love this book filled with lots of information. Thank you to NetGalley and Tom Jackson for letting me read this book I give this book 5 stars.

  I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a light hearted and me laugh in place. Would love to read more of Katy Birchall books. The story is about romance, love, friendship and loyalty. I loved the characters and warmed to them straight the way. The story grabbed straight the way till the end. The story is about Sophie and her business is being a bridesmaid to totally strangers. She comes a cross Cordelia who’s mum has hired her to help Cordelia wedding. Cordelia is not happy about this and Sophie comes across some challenges. I definitely recommend this book and give it 5 stars. Thank you NetGalley and Katy Birchall for letting me read this book. 

  I have heard so much about the Sun down hotel that I really wanted to read it but I was a little disappointed it was not as scary as I thought it was going to be and it was not as gripping either. The story is told by VilV in 1982 and Carly who her niece in the present day. Viv works at the sun down motel and weird things start to happen and she comes obsessed and starts to investigate things. Carly comes to Fell wanting to found out what happened to her aunt and she starts to work at the sun down motel. Carly makes friends and starts her own investigation. I give this book 4 stars

  This is first time I read Nora Roberts book. I really enjoyed the characters but I felt like I got bit lost with what the plot was about. I ended up skipping some pages just to get past the chatting bits with her friends. I would say it had much suspense in it. I felt like the story was going on to much. I think the story could be bit shorter. I still would read more of Nora Roberts books but I was bit disappointed with this one. Thank you NetGalley and eARC for providing me with a copy of this book
