Thank you @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter #FreeReview #FreeBookReview for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Deadish is a dark comedy genre. Deadish did make me laugh in places and has a good plot . The main characters are Ashleigh and Chris who are two young junior surgeons at Serenity Hospital and you are following the events that are happing to them. I did enjoy and found it interesting about what happened to both of them in the hospital. There were times when I felt for them due to some disasters that happen to them. I could relate to them and the plot due to me working in a hospital and in care homes. Deadish was easy to get into and a good read. 4 stars. Blurb Humorously told with hilarious personal anecdotes and real-life stories that shed light on the eccentric things that go on behind closed hospital doors, Deadish is a delightful blend of dark humor and absurdism that celebrates the medical world while poking fun at hospita...

These hands is a romance genre and has a lovely front cover that looks peaceful and hopeful to me. There are two narratives in the book Lucas who is born with healing powers, but he feels it is not a gift to him its more of problem to his life and just wants to find love . Then there is Kelsey who does not like Lucas and thinks he's odd until she finds out his secret that he is hiding. This is a beautiful and heart-warming story that will tug on your heart. There is some great twist and turns that will keep you hooked until the end. It is very easy to get into , and you will love the characters as I did and their story. These Hands is written beautifully and is engaging read from the start. 4 stars. The Absurd Life of Barry White by Rob Harris

Image
Thank you @bloodhoundbook @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter for letting me be part if this tour and reviewing this book. The Absurd Life of Barry White is dark comedy genre and has a cracking title and the pint of beer works very well on the front cover. I think the front cover stands out a lot from other book covers. The main character is Barry White Jr, and he is a bit of a gambler and suddenly Barry's look is in and he wins. Then his life starts to change. It did take me a few chapters to get into, and then I could not put the book down. The Absurd Life of Barry White did make me chuckle in places and is very well written. I did like Barry and I thought it was funny he won the big but then was trying to get rid of it because it was coming a burden to him. I think I would keep it but can understand why it would be burden, but you would then try to make it your new normal, must have been hard for him. Entertaing read and glad I got to read about Barry a...

Image
Thank you @hyggebooktours and @LainyJThomas1 for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Just One Year is a contemporary genre. The story is set during COVID-19 times when it was lockdown. The main character is Josie who is 49 years old, and she finds out she has one year to live and starts to question her life to her husband and other things around her. I did really enjoy reading this book and did shed a few tears at the end. This is a fantastic read and I fell in love with Josie character because she is such a lovely person who is struggling with COVID-19, marriage, life, friendship, and motherhood. This is a moving read that you won't be able to put down because you need to know what happens with Josie. There were a couple of twists I did not see coming, but they work brilliantly. You will feel many emotions reading this book, I did. I did not like Josie husband at first due to things that were going on, but I think he had his own issues going on and with CO...

Thank you @cassgrafton @canelo_co @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter #FreeReview #FreeBookReview #LBTChristmas for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Christmas at Polkerran Point has a gorgeous Christmas feel to the front cover that puts you in proper festive mood. This is book 3 in the series, and you can read it as a standalone which is what I did. The story is about Gemma who loses her passport which means she can't go travelling until she finds it. Gemma heads to Polkerran Point to stay with her aunt but then meets Matt who is a musician and ends up housekeeping for him and being friends with his sister Anna while trying to keep Matt's secrets. Christmas at Polkerran Point is a gorgeous and heart-warming read that will get you in the Christmas mood. I liked Gemma and Anna a lot and felt like I connected with all of them including Matt. I did feel sorry for him at times due to what was going on his life. This is a well wri...

Chase : The complete Trilogy by Thomas Dellenbusch

Image
Thank you to Thomas Dellenbusch for letting me reading your book. Chase: The complete Trilogy is an action thriller series . The story is written in German but has been translated in English. Chase is a detective agency in Hamburg and there are three cases they have to investigate, and they are very different cases, they are:the hunt for Mute Poetess (book 1) The hunt for a king (book 2) and The hunt for the Tsars Treasure (Book 3) They are all entertaining read. There is a good amount of suspense running through the books and there are some amazing twists in all three of the books. Chase is a fast-paced read that is full of action and danger. You will be hooked. All three books are a quick read and are written very well. The chase is a gripping read that has some great characters and I was on tender hooks reading this, due to me being unsure what was going to happen to the Chase team while they were investigating the three case. Can't wait to read more by Thomas Dellenbush ...
