Merciless Waters by Rae Knowles

Image
My Review Thank you @zooloosBt for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Mercliess Waters is a very different book to what I normally read. This is a short read and is an erotic horror fiction. The story is about Jaq and Lily, and they are aboard a ship called the Scylla. There is no future or past on this ship and it's full of women and then a Man comes on and things start to change. This is a fast-paced read that you will not be able to put down. There are lots of twist and turns, that has a bit of horror, love, and sex entwine through the book. I feel you go on an adventure with Jaq and Lilly, and I was rooting for them. I like the story, it's a quirky read. Merciless Waters is a quick, sharp read that will leave you thinking about it hours after 4 stars. Rae’s Bio Rae Knowles (she/her) is a queer woman whose debut novel, The Stradivarius, released May 2023 and hit #1 in Amazon’s LGBTQ+ Horror and Thriller categories. Her collaboration with April...

ExodaI by Elizabeth Hendrick

Thank you @litpr for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Exodal is a non-fiction about Elizabeth Life, being a lesbian and talks about S&M relationships. Wow, this book took me a day to read. I loved how open she is about her sexual relationships and S&M. I feel Elizabeth opens you up to this world, and it really opens my eyes to it. If you are reading this there is trigger warning due to abuse, torture and Slave relationship. I really felt for Elizabeth with everything she went through, and I hope she has finally found love. Elizabeth writing style is gripping and will hold your attention to the end. I found ExodaI an extraordinary read that made me gasp at times but also blew me away.ExodaI is an intense read and can be shocking due to what she goes through, but it is defiantly amazing read and the ending is very powerful. I don't read many Memior, but I am glad I read this. Brilliant 5 stars Blurb Elizabeth’s drives and desires have always been u...

Thank you @KJBlack71 @bloodhoundbook @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter #FreeReview #FreeBookReview for letting me be part of this book tour and reviewing this book. A Most Malicious Messenger is a crime genre and this is book 2 in the series. You can read it as a standalone, as I did. I love the front cover with the cute dachshunds, they are my daughter favourite breed. I found this story to be quirky and a feel good read that you can sit on the sofa in the dark evening and I enjoy following the characters figuring out done the murders. There were places in the book that made me smile, and the characters are likeable. The main characters are Fletch and May, and there seems to be some disturbing texts that the residents of Blackheath keep receiving, and things start to happen. A Most Malicious Messenger is an entertaining read, and I will look at reading book 1. If you like crime and humour, this book is for you, 4 stars. Blurb Menacing texts lead to murder in ...

Eye Spy by Tessa Buckley

Image
My Review Thank you @rararesources for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Eye spy is a young children's genre for 9 to 12 years old. The story is about two twins Donna and Alex who hear a lady has lost her dog on the pier and will reward anyone who finds it. Donna and Alex set up detective business and try to found the dog, but they also found out something about their family on the way, that they didn't know. The story is engaging, and I do think children will enjoy reading this story. Eye Spy is at a good pace and is full of action that will keep you hooked to the book. The plot in the story works well and Alex and Donna are very likeable characters and look forward to book 2 to see what they investigate next. There are some good twists and turns that I didn't see coming and was quite shocked with them because I would never of guessed. A good story that children will love 4 stars. Eye Spy Over the course of ten days, the lives of thirteen-year-o...

All Grown Up by Catherine Evans

Image
Thank you @rararesources for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. All Grown up has some hard topics that run through the book: rape, underage sex, parents not looking after their children probably, but Catherine Evens tackles them straight on and really well. The story is engaging from the start and I could not put it down, it took me a day to read this book. All grown up has many narratives, and they are all from the point of view of Neveah, Giles and Christine are the main narratives and then there are other characters whose point of view is not as much as the main three charcters like Billy, Stickman, Cha cha and many more. I liked how Catherine Evans did this, and I did not get mixed up or lost with all these characters, to me, it worked well. This was a hard to read at times because of the topics, but it is a compelling read that gripped me to the end. All Grown up is beautifully written and is a defiantly a page turner. The story about Neveah who is 15 years...

The Vermilion Ribbon by Hayley Price

My Review Thank you @hayleypricebook @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter #LGBT #IndieAuthor #TheVermilionRibbonfor letting me review this book and be part of this tour. The Vermilion Ribbon is an adventure genre and I have never read anything from Hayley Price , and I am glad I did. The Vermilion Ribbon is very different to what I normally read, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I read it in two days. I liked the characters Corelle, Deineike and Arella a lot, they were very brave, and I enjoyed following their story. While reading this book, I was on the edge of my seat because I didn't know what was going to happen to Corella. I found her to be brave, and I did feel sorry for her because she had to do things she didn't really want to but did them for love. I hope there is a book 2 because I would like to know what happens to them next. I was hooked and found the story very easy to get into. 5 stars Blurb Corelle’s fairy tale dream turn...

The Girl in Seat 2A by Diana Wilkinson

Image
My Review Thank you @raraesouces and Diana Wilkinson for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. The Girl in seat 2A is a psychological genre which is my favourite genre. I found this book to be addictive and very hard to put down. I read this book very quickly. The Girl in seat 2A defiantly made me think, and I did get the twists correct, which I was glad. The story is at a fast-paced which was good and Diana Wilkinson writing is very easy to read, and I really got into the story. The story is about Jade who is scared of flying and goes aboard on holiday due to winning some money and getting away from her ex. Jade comes across two men who's seem to be interested in her but not what they seem. The narrator is in two parts, mostly Jade and then Marta and I did think that worked well. I can't wait to read more by Diana Wilkinson soon. Fantastic read 5 stars. Blurb Funny how one lie can spiral… One thing about me: I HATE flying. It’s my worst nightmare. T...
