The Vermilion Ribbon by Hayley Price

My Review Thank you @hayleypricebook @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter #LGBT #IndieAuthor #TheVermilionRibbonfor letting me review this book and be part of this tour. The Vermilion Ribbon is an adventure genre and I have never read anything from Hayley Price , and I am glad I did. The Vermilion Ribbon is very different to what I normally read, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I read it in two days. I liked the characters Corelle, Deineike and Arella a lot, they were very brave, and I enjoyed following their story. While reading this book, I was on the edge of my seat because I didn't know what was going to happen to Corella. I found her to be brave, and I did feel sorry for her because she had to do things she didn't really want to but did them for love. I hope there is a book 2 because I would like to know what happens to them next. I was hooked and found the story very easy to get into. 5 stars Blurb Corelle’s fairy tale dream turns into a horrific nightmare The Vermilion Ribbon is a pulsating mix of fantasy, romance and adventure. Corelle’s journey from innocence to cold-hearted killer leaves a trail of bodies from one end of Dur to the other. With her enemies in relentless pursuit and another woman’s life in her hands, Corelle cannot relax for a heartbeat. Despair and vengeance compete for her attention as death dogs her footsteps, leading to a thrilling climax that will leave you breathless. Content Advisory: Non-consensual sex, LGBT, violence, death, suicide ideation Author Bio: Hayley Price has always been a storyteller. Throughout her life, she has told her story through songs as the principal songwriter in several bands, most recently Adventures With Alice, whose songs feature in many of her books. In 2023, Hayley brings her creative talent to bear on her debut novel, The Vermilion Ribbon. This moody sapphic novel blends elements of fantasy, romance and adventure into a gripping tale of betrayal, vengeance and love with a thrilling climax that will leave you breathless. As book one of The Vermilion Saga, The Vermilion Ribbon serves as the entrĂ©e for an epic journey through a scintillating plot that takes us throughout the land of Dur and far beyond. Greed, political corruption and complex social issues all disrupt the peaceful life that Corelle, the central character, enjoys in her early years. A New Zealander, Hayley currently lives in Canberra, Australia with her long-time partner and a grumpy, bossy cat called Rosie. She loves baseball and suffers eternal torture as a fan of the San Francisco Giants. Music has been a major part of her life, and outside of her own compositions, she is an enormous fan of Christopher Cross as well as Daryl Hall & John Oates and underrated 80s UK prog-rock band Voyager, who once named her their #1 fan Author's Website: www.hayleyprice.net
