I like the front cover it is unusual and appeals to the eye. I found this to be a dark read and quite exciting read. The story is about a lone survivor who is trapped in ruins that are haunted. Sounds creepy and thrilling when you read the blurb. The story is well written and I like the descriptions that flow through the book. A great Fanastsy. 5 stars Looking forward to book 2. Thank you @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookX #Freereview #GiftedBook for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. The Naked Truth is based on a true story about two sisters Victoria and Tennesse who come across as strong independent women. The story is set in the 1800s and is about women's rights at that time. I never heard of them but I'm glad I listened to this book. It opened up my eyes to what the sisters went through in that era. The Naked Truth is a powerful read and is written exceedingly well. The Naked Truth did pull at my heartstrings and I am so glad I have read this book. 5 stars Blurb Sisters. Lovers. Con Artists. Gender equality warriors. BASED ON A TRUE STORY. New York City, 1868. The story is about Theo who is an auctioneer in Newmarket. Theo makes a big sale but he hears about a couple of people fixing a bet on the horses. I found this to be a dark thriller that puts you on the edge of your seat. If you like horses and suspense you will love this book. This is the first book I have read by Felix Frances and No Reserve is well-written and is fast-paced whiched I liked. A gripping read 4 stars. A Scottish island Surprise by Holly Wyld

Image
Thank you @rararesources for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. The front cover of the Scottish Island Surprise is cute. This is a short Novel and has humor and romance following through the book. To me this story is heartwarming and a good feel read. This is book 7 in the series but you can read it as a standalone read as I did. The story is set on Primrose Island in Scotland and the story is about Rose who has inherited a a house but does not go as smoothly as she would like. I like the characters Rose and Joe and you fall for them straight the way they both are such lovely people. I like the descriptions of Primrose Island and made me want to go there and be Rosie. The story is beautifully written and is a very cute and adorable read. 5 stars. A Scottish Island Surprise (Primrose Island Novellas) “ Far as I ’ m aware – ” Joe said, dropping his head briefly, the better to compose his features, “ – far as I ’ m aware, Miss, we ’ ve no rabies in the Hebride...

The 6pm Frazzled Mums Club by Nina Manning

Image
Thank you @rararesources and @ninamanninguk for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. The 6 p.m. Frazzled Mums Club is a contemporary genre that took me back to when I was at the school gates as a parent. I could relate to the three mums very well. The main characters are Sophie who is an Influencer and is trying to live the perfect life but it's not happening, Aisha has lots of spare time but does not know what to do with herself. Then there is Mel who gets the chance to live her dream. I feel like I related more to Sophie than the other two mums because Sophie is trying to balance work and home life and this is me. I found The 6 p.m. Frazzled Mums Club to be entertaining and made me chuckle. The story is very easy to get into and is at a good pace. I like the front cover a lot and I still feel like that now with a teenager. There are some good topics running through the book: friendship, parenting, guilt and a few more. I love the bond the three wom...

Image
Thank you @ hyggebooktours @ boypublishing @ derekschndr2 @ weareprovoco for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Salvation is book 1 in the series and horror genre. The narrators in each chapter are Garvey, Marion and Judas. The story is about Garvey who does a bit of everything, a drug dealer, a Musician etc. Then all of a sudden Musicians die and Agent Marion needs to find out if it is Garvey or not. Then there is Judas, I found him an interesting character. They are all fascinating characters and I loved that you had to figure out who was on the side of good and evil. I found Salvation to be dark in places which I enjoyed. The book is written well and a great horror perfect for Halloween. 4 stars. Book Description: John Garvey, known to his family and friends as a biker, mechanic, gun runner, drug dealer, oh and a killer. Not many know of his secret he’s held onto for centuries. That he is, in truth, a fallen angel. Banished to Earth and tied to th...

The Vengeance of Samuel Val is a historical genre and the story is about Samuel who lives in the Jewish community of Khruvina. Samuel wants to be a Rabbi but his hopes and dreams don't turn out to be what he wants when his family die by a Nazi Officer. I found this story to be gripping and will tug at your heart. While I was reading this book it gave me a lot to think about especially how Jewish people were treated in World War 2. I found Samuel's interesting character and this is not a normal genre I would read but I found it to be a powerful novel that open my eyes to what Samuel had to deal with. 4 stars. Blurb Samuel Val is blessed with a loving family and a tight-knit community in his Jewish village of Khruvina. He dreams of becoming Khruvina’s Rabbi, but his dreams are crushed when his family is slaughtered by Nazi Officer Viktor Naden, the Beast of Belorussia. W...
