The Honeymaker's Daughter by Anne Brooke

Thank you @hyggebooktours For letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. The Honeymaker's Daughter is fantasy fiction, and I was lucky enough to receive a hard copy that is 354 pages long. The front cover has lovely honey-like colors on the face and hair and her eyes, which look gorgeous. The story is about an 18-year-old girl called Amber who lives with her father and meets a magician, and she doesn’t realize how her life is going to change. I found the story easy to get into from the start, and it is a lovely and beautiful read. The Honeymaker’s Daughter is a magical and exceedingly well-written book that you will not be able to put down. I really like the characters. It was lovely to see them develop through the story. I love the fact that Amber likes her gardening and cooking. I enjoyed reading about her doing those areas, which was inspiring me to go back into the garden. I felt like the story just flowed all the way through. A a powerful read that will capture you from start to finish. Five stars. Blurb: When eighteen-year-old Amber Winterbourne meets magician Merrillion Cloudhunter, everything changes in ways she had never imagined. An argument with an old enemy leads to a terrifying trial, and Amber is forced into a series of almost impossible choices. At the same time her father, the village honeymaker, is keeping secrets about the past and the mother Amber never knew. When Merrillion’s magic shows Amber the power of the bees she has hated all her life but which is hers by right, she must decide once and for all who she will become. Author Bio: Anne Brooke is a multi-genre writer and poet living in Surrey in the UK. Her fiction has been shortlisted for the Harry Bowling Prize (for novels set in London) and the Royal Literary Fund Scheme. She enjoys gardening, swimming, crosswords and the theatre, and would love to learn how to dance.
