Hope on Hope by Susan Gray
Thank you @hyggebooktours For letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Hope on Hope is a historical genre. I try not to read many historical genres because I find them challenging to get into, but honestly, Hope on Hope was a pleasure to read. Hope on Hope is book two in the series, but I haven’t read book one, and I don’t feel like I need to because book two is a standalone book, and I felt like I was not missing anything, but I will definitely go back and read book one. The story is set in France and in England during World War II and after. The story is about a family: Chantelle is a midwife in France with her issues, and Tom and Rachel have children called Darcy and Josh who live in England and have their things to deal with too. I absolutely adore the front cover. It’s gorgeous, and it makes me want to go there. I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters. They were all really lovely and heartwarming people, and I felt like I was part of their family while reading this book. I was blown away by the book from the start and was hooked, and it took me two days to read it. It’s a very gripping read, and I loved following Chantelle and Rachel's stories and going back and forth from France to England. I like that there were some twists and turns in the book, and I didn’t see them coming at all. This is a heartwarming read that is written exceptionally well, and you can tell Susan Gray has done her research in the book as well. Hope on Hope is definitely a must-read, and I’m so glad I got the opportunity to read it. Five stars
