This is definitely a feel-good read and is about finding yourself, new love, and second chances. When I first read a couple of pages, I found it a bit hard to get into, but after I passed those pages, I was hooked. It was in a wonderful book. The story is about Joy, who’s going on a Christmas cruise without her husband, Tom, and while she’s on this cruise, she meets numerous people and also meets Henry, who is a bachelor that’s gone on the cruise on his own. I found this to be a heartwarming read and a pleasure to read. I read this book after Christmas, and it’s not too festive at all, but I love the descriptions that flow through the book about the Arctic. There are two narrators in the book who are Lisa and Megan, and they are two sisters with very different lives. Megan lives in a beautiful house and has twin boys, and her husband works away, but her life is not what she thought it would be. Then there is Lisa, who has a demanding job and a boyfriend, and they are trying to get her pregnant, but that doesn't go the way she hoped. The book is written extremely well, and I was hooked from start to finish. I really like the characters, and I felt like I was more connected to Megan, but I thoroughly enjoyed following both of their journeys. I did like some stories more than others, but they were all written exceptionally well. The short stories are dark and have a considerable amount of suspense, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. They are thrilling reads, and they are very different from what I normally read, which is always good. There is a good amount of twists and turns, and you don’t have to read each short story at the same time. I let each one digest in my head and read each one at different times and days to give them the attention they needed. I liked all the characters and the plots. I try not to read many historical genres because I find them challenging to get into, but honestly, Hope on Hope was a pleasure to read. Hope on Hope is book two in the series, but I haven’t read book one, and I don’t feel like I need to because book two is a standalone book, and I felt like I was not missing anything, but I will definitely go back and read book one. The story is set in France and in England during World War II and after. The story is about a family: Chantelle is a midwife in France with her issues, and Tom and Rachel have children called Darcy and Josh who live in England and have their things to deal with too. I haven’t read book one, and I kind of wish I did because at the beginning of this book I was struggling with who the characters were and what was going on; I feel like I missed some vital things. So I will definitely go back and read book one. The story is about Dante, who lives in a small town in New Zealand and wants to be left alone, and something happens that he has to try to find out what it is. The story took me a little while to get into, but once I got into it, I did enjoy it. The story is written beautifully and has some superb characters in the story. I did like Dante's character a lot; he did make me smile. I like the plot, and it is a very intriguing, entertaining read. And wow, this book didn’t let me down. I was hooked, and it took me two days to read it. This is the first time I’ve read any books from Jade Lee Wright, but wow, what a writer! I will definitely be reading more of her books. The story is about Ivy, who is arriving in South Africa to meet her fiancé's family, but they are not what they seem at all. From the minute I opened the book, I was totally hooked and needed to know what was happening with this family. I had some ideas, but I was entirely wrong, and I love it when this happens. The front cover is absolutely gorgeous of the sea, and it made me want to go there. It also feels very peaceful and calming. The book is stunning and made me feel really calm and peaceful while reading it too. The story is about Evelyn, who decides to let her son and wife live in her house, and she goes to Northumberland to make a fresh start with her dog, and on the way she comes across some situations and meets some lovely people. I read Evelyn Eventually in two and a half days. I was fully invested in this book. It was so easy to get into, and I loved Evelyn as a character. She seemed to be a breath of fresh air, and I loved her determination to situations and to help people. The story is written exceedingly well and has a fantastic plot.
