The Murder of Mrs Chadwick by Caroline Blake

Thank you @Caroline.Blake.Author @LoveBooksTours For letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. The Murder of Mrs. Chadwick is a crime thriller genre. I like the front cover; it is very colorful. This is the first book I have read by Caroline Blake, and her writing style is delightful and engaging from the beginning. The plot kept me hooked to the end and kept me guessing all the way through. The story is set in 1976 in Lancashire and is about the murder of Mrs. Chadwick, and Elena, who is a detective has to find the killer. I love the twists and turns in the book; it is well-written and a great read. 5 stars. Blurb In Lancashire, 1976, a quiet village is rocked by the shocking murder of Mrs Chadwick in her own home in the early evening. Leading the investigation is Detective Inspector Elena Holt. She is determined to untangle a web of secrets and lies. There are 3 suspects: Jack Chadwick, Mrs Chadwick's reclusive son, who is found covered in blood; Angela Bennett, a florist with a criminal past, who is seen in the wrong place at the wrong time; and Reverend Adam Hargreaves, a man of God, who has sins to hide. Elena's estranged friend, Claire Simons, is now a private detective in the village. Elena hopes she can shed some light on the investigation, but what Elena discovers drives a wedge further between them. As the case deepens, old wounds resurface, and loyalties are tested. For some, the truth is salvation. For others, it is ruin. In a village where everyone has something to hide, who will pay the price for the ultimate betrayal?
