The Lilac River by Nikki Ashton
Thank you @NikkiAshtonAuthor
@LoveBooksTours for letting me part of this tour and reviewing this book.
The lilac River is part 1 in the series and is romance genre. The narrative of the story is Nash and Lilly and read from their perspective, which I thoroughly enjoyed and getting to know them. The story is about Lilly and her first love was Nash, and she vanished 10 years ago without word to Nash. I love the descriptions in the book and the story is beautiful written. The chapters are short, and the story is easy to get into. A heartwarming read.
Blurb
Some loves never fade, they bloom again
He was her first love. She was the one who got away.
Ten years ago, Lily Jones vanished without a word—leaving behind a broken heart and a boy who never truly healed. Now she’s back. In the same small town. Holding the same secret she left with.
Nash Miller never expected to see her again.
He’s a single dad now who, with the help of his two brothers, has been raising his daughter on a quiet ranch with more ghosts than fences. He doesn’t talk about the past. He doesn’t forgive easily. But one look at Lily, and all the years in between vanish like dust on the breeze.
The tension between them is thick with everything unsaid: the silence, the heartbreak, the love that never really left. But some truths are harder to bury than others… and some chances don’t come twice.
Set against the lavender fields and weathered porches of Silver Peaks, The Lilac River is a slow burn story of second chances, quiet redemption, and a love that refuses to die.
Some things fall apart.
Some things find their way home.
And some hearts never stop hoping.
