Under This Flesh by Ina Gancheva

Thank you @Palamedes and @hyggebooktours for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Under this Flesh is a collection of contemporary poetry which is about love, loss, identity, vulnerability, and survival. There are 115 poems in the book, and they are poems you can keep coming back to. I found the poems powerful to read and they are all beautifully written. There were some I was drawn to more than others, which were : the fall, seeds, cure, crave, master, rain, blurry past and many more. I found all the poems easy to read, and they were all moving and made me think about my life. If you like poetry, this book is definitely for you. A thought-provoking and moving read. 4 stars. Book Description: In Under This Flesh, poet and artist Ina Gancheva delivers a strikingly honest exploration of the human experience. Her critically acclaimed collection moves through themes of longing, loss, self-discovery, and survival, capturing the intensity of emotion with precise, unflinching language. Through her stark and powerful verse, Gancheva strips everything down to its essence, revealing the conflicts we carry within ourselves and the tenderness that persists despite it all. Each poem in this collection is a moment of reckoning, a confrontation with the raw truths that define us. For readers drawn to contemporary poetry that challenges, comforts, and resonates, Under This Flesh is an essential addition to the bookshelf.
