One Night Only by G.P. Ritchie

Thank you @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter One Night Only is a crime mystery genre. This is the second book I have read by G.P Ritchie and found it to be a gripping and enjoyable read. The story is about Andy who loves puzzles and being a Detective in Edinburgh suits him well. Andy is trying to find the evidence to a crime after a council gets murdered. I did like the characters in the story and liked there backstory it felt like I knew them better. There is a good amount of darkness and suspense that will keep you gripped till the end of the book. The story is well written, and you can tell G.P Ritchie has done his research because it comes out in the book very well. The story jumps to past and present quite bit, and I did feel this worked well in the book. I enjoyed G.P Ritchie style of writing which is engaging and interesting 4 stars. Can't wait to read more. Blurb Life is precious. That’s why they take it. As a boy, Andy Lorimar loved puzzles, but one he didn’t solve destroyed his childhood. It would have taken his future too, if he hadn’t found stability within the police service. Now a long-serving Edinburgh detective, he’s built a solitary existence following evidence to find the truth. After the horrific murder of a city councillor and the disappearance of a council employee, the trail of evidence points towards political corruption. But Andy suspects there may be another path to uncover, a shadow-maze stretching back years into darkness. A path that strays uncomfortably close to a woman who hears the voices of the dead.
