Beneath the Lemon Trees by Emma Burstall

Thank you @rararesources and @emmaburstall for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Beneath The Lemon Tree is about new beginnings and romance. The front cover is gorgeous, it made me want to live at that Villa. I would defiantly pick this book up in bookshop for its front cover alone and then once I read the blurb I would be very excited to read it even more. The story about Stella who best friend has died, and she has separated from her husband goes on holiday to Crete with her children and Friend. This is an uplifting and breathtaking read that I read in one sitting. The story is about loss, grief and new beginnings. I like Stella a lot and did feel sorry for her due to what she was going through and trying to be there for her best friend Husband, but you could tell it was taking a toll on her. I loved the setting and the plot and thought it was a magical read that swept away. Uplifting and moving read 5 stars. Blurb Heartbroken after the loss of a friend and the collapse of her marriage, Stella hopes that this trip to the idyllic Greek island of Crete will give her and her family a chance to heal. And when she first steps into the breath-taking Villa Ariadne, with its views over the azure waters and intoxicating scent of lemons, Stella’s troubles seem to melt away. Until the arrival of an old acquaintance, and an unwelcome revelation, threaten to undermine the peace at the villa, and Stella is forced to make a difficult decision. But with the help of Crete’s beautiful scenery and the kindness of its locals, Stella is about to discover that Villa Ariadne can still offer an escape… and so much more. Can she open herself up to the possibility of love and find the strength to start again? Author Bio – Emma Burstall is the bestselling author of women’s fiction, including the Tremarnock series.
