Here Lies a Vengeful Bitch by Codie Crowley

Thank you @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter #FreeReview #FreeBookReview for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Here lies a Vengeful Bitch is a fantastic read . The story is about Annie who has been murdered but does not realize this has happened to her and comes across some people to help her find out who murdered her. This is a fast-paced read from start to finish which kept me hooked, and I read it in a day. I was hooked on the opening scene of the chapter straight the way, I was like OMG and intrigued with what was going on with Annie and what she was going to do next. The themes running through the book is : violence, murder, death, Bullying friendship, Love drugs and sexual harassment, and it tells you about this in the author note which is good idea and really considerate of them . The book is dark in places which I loved and Annie and the other characters were terrific and totally out there different from any other characters I have read about before. Everything about Here Lies a Vengeful Bitch all fitted together brilliantly with the plot, characters, and the writing you could not ask for better read then this. You will not be disappointed. I had a feeling I know who the killer was, and I was right but the other twist I did not see coming. Here lies a Vengeful Bitch is written well and is written in first person from Annie point of view. This would be a great read on a dark night and in Halloween. This is the first book I have read from Codie Crowley and hope to read more soon. The front cover and title is fantastic and stands out to the point you will be drawn to it. 5 stars. Blurb Murdered bad girl Annie Lane is back from the grave and hellbent on revenge . . . she just has to figure out who killed her. This fast-paced thriller by a talented debut delivers a horror-infused hunt for justice that's at once furiously feminist, darkly funny, and utterly satisfying. Between her careless mom, her cheating ex-boyfriend, and her rotten reputation around town, Annie Lane is used to being left behind. But she's never been left for dead before--until she wakes up to find her body's been dumped on a mountain rumored to raise the dead. Annie can't remember who killed her, but she'll stop at nothing to figure it out and make them pay. Because girls like her don't get justice unless they take it for themselves. Codie Crowley's propulsive debut presents a furious and cathartic thriller skewering society's condemnation of "unlikeable" girls. Author bio Codie Crowley told a scary story at a childhood slumber party that caused a mass hysteria, and she's been chasing that high ever since. When she isn't writing chilling fiction, she's probably out looking for ghosts in Salem, Massachusetts, where she lives with her husband, their cat, and a collection of creepy dolls.
