The Seeds of Murder By Dawn Treacher

Thank you @hyggebooktours @weareprovoco @dsquiffy #hyggebooktours for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. I love the colour of the front cover it has a soft and calm feel to it . The Seeds of Murder is a crime/ thriller genre. The story is about Cedric who is a vicar and his wife goes missing . People think she's gone missing because she has enough being a vicar wife. Cedric goes to find out what really happened to his wife. I found the first chapter a bit slow at first, but when I got into it, I was hooked and could not put it down. Entertaing read that will engross you to the end. I liked Cedric a lot and I did feel sorry for him because he couldn't understand why his wife would leave him, so he was thinking all sorts of things . I loved how his daughter got him in to gardening again, which helps him to write a detective novel. The story is at good pace and has a great plot. 4 stars. Blurb Cedric Malleson's wife, Carolina, is missing. Everyone believes she simply left Cedric because she didn't want to be a vicar's wife any longer. Now retired from the clergy, and with time on his hands, Cedric's mind begins to wonder why. Why did Carolina leave? Did she leave because she wanted to, or because she had to? His thoughts prompt him to begin writing a detective novel, a cosy, murder mystery. However, his daughter, Scarlett encourages him to take up gardening, a task Carolina used to do when they were together. Little does Cedric realise that whilst he is writing his detective novel and doing the garden, he could be nurturing the seeds of murder. Bio Dawn Treacher joined Provoco in 2023, already enjoying success as an author and illustrator of children's novels. The Seeds of Murder is her debut, cosy murder mystery novel and more are planned for the future!
