Sad Girl Novel by Pip Finkemeyer

Thank you @emily_egg for letting me review this book and be part of the tour. My Review Sad Girl is a comedy that will make you laugh out loud. The story is about Kim who whats to be a writer and comes to Berlin to write it. The story does go from past and present tense which I liked. I liked Kim and she seems a very nice person and did make me smile at times. Sad Girl is not what I would normally read but I did enjoy it and found it fascinating to read and loved some quotes flying through the book. Kim meets a friend called Bel who I did enjoy reading about and how their friendship develops through the book. This is Pip Finkemeyer's first great novel and I liked her writing style alot, I will be looking out for her next book. 4 stars. Out now to buy. Book Description A young woman tries to figure out if she's the best (a creative genius) or if she's maybe just the worst (completely delusional) in this hilarious debut for fans of Monica Heisey, Elif Batuman and Emma Jane Unsworth. About the Author Pip Finkemeyer's fiction has been listed for the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize, the Richell Prize for Emerging Writers, the Disquiet Literary Prize and nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She co-founded the Berlin-based zine Nothing To See Here, and completed a Masters in Publishing and Editing at RMIT. She lives in Naarm/Melbourne and Sad Girl Novel is her first novel.
