The Magic Violin by Richard Sample

Thank you Richard Sample for letting me read and review your book. I met Richard and his daughter at the Derby Book festival and it was lovely to meet you both. I absolutely adore the front cover of The Magic Violin its so pretty and bright which draws your attention to the book. The Magic Violin is for children between 7-14 years old. The story is 54 pages long and has short chapters with lovely illustrations running through the book. The Magic Violin is a fantastic story about Jethro who is forced to retire but then something happens to him that changes his life. The story is beautifully written and engaging from the first page to the end. Children will love The Magic Violin story and it will keep them entertained for a while. I liked Richard Sampler's writing style it took me to a totally different world. Will look out for your next one. Strongly recommend this book.5 stars. A brilliant read with some magic flowing through. Blurb An original children’s morality tale about a worn out farm hand, who loses everything except his ability to communicate with animals. The only thing he has left to give is his kindness. A mountain witch, decides to help poor Jethro. Her good intentions, at first, transform his life, but magic comes at a cost, and soon Jethro finds out that he will have to pay the ultimate price for his newly acquired musical gifts. There is no such thing as easy money, even though Jethro’s short cut to fame and fortune may suggest otherwise. Don’t grow old, Jethro, don’t grow old!
