The things that we lost by Jyoti Patel
Thank you @RandomTTours and @JyotiPatel for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book.
The Things that we lost is a beauful book and read. I found the story easy to get into and the characters were really likeable. I was sad when Nik grandad died there was so many unanswered questions for him. I liked Nik alot and whated to give him a big hug and felt sorry for him because he never know his dad and his mum will not tell him anything about him. The themes in the book is loss , love and family. I really like the front cover is very colouful and bright. This story is moving and you really feel for mum and Nik through out the book. Beautifully written and I cant wait to read more from Jyoti Patel 5 stars.

Nik yearns to know more about his father, who died before he was born. His mother, Avani, held hostage by her guilt surrounding his death, refuses to share any information with her son. Nik is forced to create a fragmented image of his father, pulled together from hushed whispers at family gatherings and photos stolen from his mother’s bedroom.
When his grandfather dies, secrets are revealed, and everything Nik thinks he knows about his father is turned on its head. Nik makes it his mission to discover the truth about his father and the circumstances of his death, uncovering painful truths in the process.
The Things That We Lost is a beautifully tender exploration of family, loss, and the lengths we go to, to protect the ones we love.
