Maman by F.E. Birch

Image
Thank you @HeatherJFitt for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Maman is a thriller genre. Which is about Ds Joanna Armstrong who is accused of hurting one of her twin babies face. This is a gripping novel and I did feel for DC Joanna a lot due to her being accused of hurting her child. I can image this must be an awful feeling, and you really feel for her character, and this comes out in the writing too. It's nice, she has a support from her friend and husband through this horrible time. Which is what you need. The writing is great and easy to get into and like I said above you can feel the emotion and tension coming out in the writing. You will not want to put it down had no clue on the plot twist which is always good because I keep guessing and got it completely wrong. The story holds your attention and makes you think about Post natal depression, what people go through. I was lucking I didn't have that. A great read. 4 stars Blurb Maman - a twisted ...

Thank you @zooloosBT for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Sacrificial Waters is a horror genre. I do love good Horror. The story is about a group of explores that find a hidden cave in the middle of the forest, but it's not what they think it is. I love the reference to the Descent film in the book. The story is set in 2022 and in the peak distance. I loved the jump scares in the book, and they did make me jump. Sacrificial Waters has a good amount of tension running through the book and the story is written extremely well. There was good amount of twists and turns that I had no clue they were going to happen. This is a fantastic horror that will put you on the edge of your seat. There is a great amount of suspension and tension that flows through the book. I liked the characters a lot and at times I wanted to scream at them . Sacrificial Waters is engaging book but don't read at nighttime if you scared easily. 5 stars. A.D’s Bio A.D Jones lives in the...

Lucie does not know who her real Dad is and feels like she does not look like any of her Mums Family. There are two narratives in the book Lucie and Nav who becomes her new friend. I liked that you heard from both characters about them and how their friendship blossoms and what's going on through their lives. I did feel like I connected more to Lucie, I don't know why I just did. Furthermore, I liked the plot and I found it easy to read, and the pages flowed really well. Looking for Lucie is an engaging read and loved how she got the courage to do a DNA test to found out who her Dad is. She is very brave in my eyes. Thank you @rararesoucers and @colingarrow for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Shadow of the witch is book 2 in the series, but you can read as a standalone, as I did. This is Historical horror genre, what a strange read, but I did enjoy reading it. The story is set in London, 1677 and is about a house and a Witch. The main characters are Cutler and the diaries of Doctor Winter and a lawyer. They were very entertaing characters and I liked the suspense running throw the book, and it felt very eerie at times. The front cover with the Witch does look scary and after reading this I would not want to meet her. I found the story easy to get into, and I am glad i didn't read it at night because it is a spooky read. This is the first book I have read by Colin Garrow, but I will look out for more.4 stars. Shadow of the Witch London, 1677. A house with a dark secret. A lawyer in pursuit of magick. A witch, dead for fifty years. Israel Cutler, dealer in second-h...
