for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. I am sad the read along has finished, but I enjoyed being part of the Michaelmas Daisy read along and reading the book. The story about Philippa who 58 and looking after her dad who she cares for him around the clock. Beverley who has died 8 years ago is still watching over her family. This is heart-warming and emotional read that made me cry, and I wanted to give Philippa a hug at times and tell her everything ok. There are some hard themes in the book loneness, friendship, about care homes , dementia and love. The writing is written beautifully, and I liked the characters and bond with them straight away. I read this book in a few hours. The Michaelmas Daisy is engaging and insteresting read due to the plot and characters being fantastic. The cover is beautiful and works well with the title. Cant went to read more books by Paul Narriner. 5 stars.

The Michaelmas Daisy: a contemporary story of loneliness, loyalty, love, finding new friends, and hope.
Beverley may be dead, but that doesn’t make it any easier to let go. She watches over her husband and daughter, sharing their pain, laughter, fears and dreams. As she watches, memories of her own life and love for her husband bring comfort and tears in equal measure.
Her daughter, Philippa (58, divorced), looks after her ailing father. She does so willingly, but caring for him 24/7 takes great patience and compassion, and such devotion is isolating.
Into their home comes Kaska (39). She provides respite care, brings kindness and energy, and helps Philippa realise it’s ok to still want some life of her own.
As her father’s condition worsens, Philippa’s dedication is tested to the full and difficult choices are necessary.
The Michaelmas Daisy: written in honour of those in need of care, and those who care for them.
