You can read it as a standalone as au did. The story is about Catherine who loses her father who meant the world to her because of this she suffers abuse. I found the story had a great plot that hooks you and is very gripping and tense at times. The story is well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I will make sure I read the 1st book. I found the front cover to be interesting and made me wounder who the dark ghostly person was . I was which made me want to get reading to found out. The story was at good pace which I could keep up with. There seems to be good twists in the book that I definitely didn’t see coming. The story is written at good pace and was very gripping in place. A interesting and entertaining read. I do love Victoria Williamson books. They are always a pleasure to read and enjoy. The story about Charlie who is a criminal and comes across a rare book that is valuable. The story is about Harriet who falls over an old gravestone that has strange markings on. Harriet reads the inscription, and the next day wakes up with powers. I wish this would happen to me.
