Bone Rites by Natalie Bayley

Thank you @NJBayleyAuthor @aurorametro @KellyALacey @lovebookstours #Ad #LBTCrew #BookTwitter for letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Bone Rites is about Kathryn Darling who is imprisoned in Holloway and is going to be hung for vengeance killing. I found Bone Rites very different read to what I normal read and is interesting read. Bone Rites is historical fiction that is set in a quick pace and is a dual timeline. I like that the book has some gothic elements running through the book and can be dark in places to which I enjoyed. Kathryn took me a while to like her and understand her but eventually I did like her character. I found the story to be engaging and did entertain me to the end. The ending was a bit of a shock, and I did not see that coming. Intriguing read 4 stars. This is the first book I have read by Natlie Bayle and I did like her writing style and I will be looking for more of her books in the future. Blurb “I collected the first bone when I was twelve... Such a tiny little bone, more like a tooth. I only kept it to keep him safe.” Kathryn Darkling, imprisoned in Holloway, is facing death by hanging for her vengeance killing. Haunted by a spirit, she still hopes to perform the ancient black magic that will free her soul, or her struggle to punish the mighty will have been in vain. Will the love of her life come to her aid? Or can she find a way to escape her fate?
