The Pact by Hilly Barmby

Thank you @ZooloosBT @Hilly_Barmby for letting be part of this tour and letting me review this book. The Pact is psychological crime book which is my favourie genre. There was some good twists i did see coming and the ending was dramantic and gripping. Pact is written in the past and present and works really well. The Pact is about group of friends that meet up when they are 30 on New years Eve. The characters where instresting snd theres for some i liked more than others. This is the second book I have read by Hilly Barmby and i did like her style of writting. Great read especally for October month 4 stars. Book Blurb When an overdue reunion takes place, it stirs up old memories that have long been buried . . . In the twelve years that have passed, much has happened. So when Michael Storm arranges a New Year’s Eve party, it threatens to have deadly consequences. Hope has married her long-time sweetheart, whose secretive behaviour with money is straining their marriage. Sabine has become a supermodel and married an aristocrat but has secrets and problems of her own. Shy Elena came close to a breakdown after her dreams of a future with the man she loved were dashed. She harbours fears about a mysterious fire that killed two men in her home, and is devastated when her best friend dies. But what caused his death? As the reunion draws near, the relationships among them start to fracture, and the hidden truths about the past start coming to the surface—with murderous results . . . Author Bio At the age of seventeen, having been told by her English Literature teacher to sit on her hands in lessons, as she spoke more eloquently with them than actual words, Hilly decided to prove her wrong. It started with a bout of terrible poetry and finally culminated in the publication of her first novel, From My Cold Dead Hands. She is also a painter and ceramicist and has a lady shed in the middle of an organic fruit farm on a mountainside in southern Spain. She lives with her musician partner and two rescue dogs
