Murmurations by Sarah Thompson

Murmurations is a poetry genre that is about ties between nature, humanity, and divine. I love reading these poems, and I especially read them outside to connect with them probably, and I really felt the words in the book were meaningful and I connecting with the poems instantly. You can tell that Sarah Thompson loves nature, it comes out in her writing. While I was reading these poems, it did make me reflect on things in my life. The poems are written beautifully and were very moving. The poems are set in five segments : Forest, Body, Mind , Love, and Universe and I loved the picture at the beginning of the book which is a very pretty and peaceful when you look at it. Murmurations is a very quick read that you can keep coming back to when you need to. This is a calming read, which I need at present too in a busy life at present...

The story about Charlie who receives a letter that not for him from a person called Wang in the 1920 who is a photographer and finds a digital folder which leads to much more. From reading Light Between us, it is a moving and engrossing read. I enjoyed reading about the historial elements of Singapore along with the romance element. You can tell the author Elaine Chiew has done a lot of research because it comes out in her writing. The story is set at a fast pace you will be able to keep up with and is written well. There is some good twist that in the book that I had no clue was going to happen . Beautiful read. If you like time travel and romance, this book for you. 5 stars. What Lies Inside by Iain Maitland

What Lies Inside is a psychological genre which is about Malcolm who likes a quiet life but wants to find love and then finds Josie who has come to stay with him. Malcolm thinks it could work between them, but Josie is not so sure. I find this to be a chilling read that I could not put down. This was a brilliant read that you will get into straight the way and is a hell of rollercoaster ride that will put you on tender hooks while reading it, This book has the wow factor. The story is creepy and dark with a fantastic plot that you just want to keep reading. I do love books like this that capture you from the beginning. I read the blurb, and it was totally different from what I thought would happen, which is great that a book can keep you guessing, thinking and on your toes. The Call of Nightgale has a beautiful front cover that grabs your attention, I would defintely be drawn to this if I saw it in a bookshop. This is a historical romance genre about Alicia, who is a typist and is living with her poorly Mum in the 1950s. Then she meets her boss, and they fall for each other, and then they have to go to Iran to live. While reading The Call of Nightgale, I felt For Alicia and my heart went out to her due to her Mum dying and going to another country she knows nothing about with her Husband. The storyline was fabulous and captured be from the start of chapter 1 . The writing is beautifully written and engaging read. The story about a girl who goes missing and Averil, Lilly and Sandy move into the Westford park estate, It's everything they have dreamt of, and they are hoping their secrets don't follow them, but they thought wrong and it's not as safe as they thought it was. There are some good twists in the book that you won't see coming. The Perfect Home is a gripping read that will capture you from the beginning. Summer Kind of Love is a cute book and I fell in love with the characters straight the way. I wish I could be Avery, it sounds lovely staying near the sea with beautiful scenery. I might get lonely, but this would be bliss after having heartbreak like Avery. Before we rise has a beautiful front cover and is a young adult genre. It took me a few pages to get into the book, but after that I was superglued to the pages. The main character is Jace who's life has been turned up sided down. Before we rise is a sequel and I have not read the first one, but you can read this as a standalone as I did. There are good themes running through the book, loneliness, Friendship, romance and mental health, magic. Before we Rise is a fascinating read that is written very well. Team Spirit by R J Gould

I love tennis, which is why I wanted to read Team Spirt. This is book 4 of the series, but you can read as a standalone, as I did. There is a lot going on in the story with the characters, Bribes, chaos going on in the tennis club, players not playing the game correctly, arguments, challenges and romance. It was very entertaining following all these ups and down in the tennis club, it has made me not want to join lol. I did like how R J Gould shows you that it's not all fun in clubs, that occasionally you can have problems but also found a lot of positives like romance and making you smile. The Riviera House swap is a romance genre that has a fabulously bright front cover that will grab your attention instantly. The Riviera House Swap is a lovely and uplifting read that is a great read that will take your mind away from every day worries for a while. A great book to take on your holidays with you to. The story is set in France and England and is about Nina and Jean-Luc who house swap and their life collide togther. A lovely read that you won't be able to put down. The story is set in the 1990o's and is about Indio who is a heart throb at school and everyone wants to be like him, but he is struggling due to secrets that are eating him up. Then he meets Cordelia, who changes his life. The story is written well and is a very moving story that will grip you from start to finish. The themes in the story are love, loss, secrets, magic and being different. I found that Descended is a beautiful read with amazing characters who you will love, and I adore their names they are very different and names you don't hear much off.. Truestory has a beautiful front cover with lovely colours to grab your attention. Truestory is heart-warming story that made me cry. The story is about Alice has a son who's autistic, and he refuses to leave their home in Lancaster on a farm. Then here husband brings someone to the farm called Larry, which changes things in the family. Alice is the main narrator and I found it fascinating following her life story about her son Sam. I felt like I could relate with Alice in places due to my daughter being autistic, and felt like many parts of Truestory rang true to me. Husbands is an LGBT genre about romance. I liked the front cover, its very unusual and the total works well. I work in a secondary school and found this connection with the book straight away. Furthermore, I liked Kyle who was the main charter who wants to be an actor but is working as a supply in Birmingham school. I did feel for him and loved following his story. There is a great amount of darkness following through the book, and it did make me feel many emotions while reading this book, Happy sad and made me laugh. I love cats and have two of my own. I was looking forward to reading these stories. They all made me have a soft glow after reading about these amazing cats that have done extraordinary things. I found this to be an entertaining read and thought-provoking stories. The front cover is beautiful, and I loved seeing the pictures of the remarkable cats that made the stories more real. Made me very hungry reading this book. The story about Sadie who is a Chief who wants to escape from her past and then is offered a job at new restaurant which owed my Dean and Noah Winthrop but it's not all as it seems. One last bite is a gripping and thrilling read that you want be able to put down. The story is set in three parts. The first part goes back three months earlier, The second goes back even further and the third part is the present day. I think my favourite was the first bit about Sadie and the last part when it all comes together. All In Monte Carlo Is woman's Literary genre that is inspired by true events and has a gorgeous cover. The story is about Four women who set their revenge. The story is set in Monaco and is written exceedingly well. The four women are Abigail, Polina , Barbara and Lucinda, and they are fabulous, that keep you glued to their story. I did feel like I connected more with Lucinda and Abigail more than the other two women. I was absolutely gobsmacked by the betrayal they faced and loved they set up a book club to help each other. I enjoyed reading this book a lot, and it had me thinking if Caitlin would found the answers she was looking for about her Mother death. The story is about Caitlin Mum who died when she was four years old and 30 years later Caitlin inheritance the family home and starts to recover memories from her past. The story is set in Dorset and I did like her friend and the Gardner and his aunty . They all seemed like they wanted to help Caitlin get the answers she wanted. I love books like The Hedge Witch it has everything I enjoy: Tarot cards, Witches, magic and Romance. The Hedge Witch ticked everything I was looking for in a book.
